Wedding Photography at Batch Country House Hotel
Here are Matt and Linda who were married at Batch Country House on the 25th May this year. Very lucky with the weather, after a torrential downpour on the Saturday, the bank holiday Sunday was much kinder and we enjoyed a dry day with even some lovely blue skies at some points during the afternoon. A family affair, Linda chose the couple’s children and nieces as bridemaids and pageboy. Then the newlyweds best friends were the perfect choice for bestman and maid of honour. Before the ceremony Linda’s dad Clive showed me a photo album that he had made of Linda’s life up until the day of the wedding. Such a lovely personal touch that he had put so much time and effort into I’m sure Linda shed a tear when she saw it later in the day. Clive had even gone to the trouble of ensuring there were some blank pages for photos of the new family memories yet to be made and had been in touch with me prior to the Big Day to order some pictures from their pre-wedding shoot so he could include them in the book. A ceremony in the Somerset suite was followed by confetti, canapes and mingling in the grounds while Toastmaster David helped to organise the group pictures with me. Always a nice touch, a toastmaster helps the day to run smoothly, organising group photos with the photographer, announcing the bridal party as they enter the wedding breakfast and introducing the speeches they are a traditional element that can really help put a bride and groom at ease. Photos of the happy couple followed the group pictures and we ended the afternoon with some mock cake cutting shots before the bridal party were presented into the room. The cake was an elegant three tier creation with a two piece puzzle ontop…the perfect metaphor for a happy couple. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Meekhums. I loved being part of your day.
