Emily and Chris – Wedding Photography at Wrington Church and Coombe Lodge, Blagdon

What a stunning wedding! Emily and Chris chose gorgeous pastel shades of blue and peach mixed with hessian and black iron candelabras to give a mix of country and urban themes to reflect both their life in London, where they now live and Emily’s country upbringing. The blend worked perfectly and Mr and Mrs Warburton had a wonderful wedding day.

Emily got ready at her parent’s home in Langford before taking the short journey to Wrington Church in a beautiful old car. After a traditional service Mr and Mrs Warburton tossed coins over the lych gate to waiting local children who then untied the gates to allow the wedding party out. We stopped on the way to Coombe Lodge at lovely field with a fantastic backdrop of green trees, to capture natural and relaxed photos of the newlyweds.

On arrival at Coombe Lodge we were met with a cloud of confetti that their little boy Ralph loved. Pictures of Emily, Chris and Ralph were of course very important on the day and I captured as many natural and unobtrusive shots of the them as a family, as I knew that this was very much the style they liked.

After the formal group photos we had a little wander around the grounds. The new Mr and Mrs Warburton really liked imagery with big trees and lots of greenery, so we headed up onto the bank to use as much of this as possible.

The wedding breakfast had music throughout, provided by talented pianist Michael G Moore who had travelled from London to play. After traditional speeches Emily was forced by her friend to say a few words, I’m sure that particular friend was severely berated later in the evening!

Coffee and cake was served in the library before the evening party got underway. Em and Chris wanted a relaxed party atmosphere for the evening, without alienating older guests who often don’t want to dance but feel obliged to sit where the music is. So in a first for Coombe Lodge they had the evening reception in the lounge area, with pianist Michael getting everyone on the dance floor. With no additional evening guests, the newlyweds didn’t feel under pressure to flit madly between guests and it made for a wonderful informal evening of music and laughter where Mr and Mrs Warburton could enjoy the company of their nearest and dearest.

Such a lovely couple and a wonderful wedding to be a part of.  Here is a small sneak preview of just a few of their images from Friday 15th May 2015. Like the Interlace Photography Facebook Page to be updated when the rest of their images are online.
