Leanne and Matt – Wedding Photography at Aldwick Court Farm and Vineyard now known as Aldwick Estate
Leanne and Matt chose Aldwick Estate as the setting for their relaxed country wedding. When we first met they emphasised that they didn’t want the day to be too formal, they wanted a laid back day with lots of focus on their children, which made Aldwick the perfect venue. Lots of space to run around without feeling like there need to be any particular formalities in such a versatile space.
I arrived to extremely chilled bridesmaids and bride who were enjoying some bubbles and pampering in the Forge, a small cottage set aside for bridal preparations on site that Matt and Leanne were also staying in on the night of their wedding with their two children George and Alannah. Matt arrived an hour before the ceremony and gave me the perfect opportunity to capture some shots of him and his bestman Ben and mini bestman George.
To say that George and Alannah weren’t a fan of the camera could be an understatement, luckily because the new Mr and Mrs Coles loved relaxed and reportage imagery we turned an awkward family portrait session into picking flowers in a field and walking hand in hand.
I loved that Leanne didn’t really have a colourscheme. She carried stunning red roses handtied by Florist Emma Petersson and her bridesmaids had fresh yellow and white posies that contrasted well with their navy and nude gowns. Pastel bunting adorned the new barn and matched perfectly with the three tier cake that also had tiny bunting that was created by Sally Bracey, a good friend of the bride’s who is also a talented makeup artist that I get to work with regularly.
