St Mary’s Yatton & Clevedon Hall Wedding – Ruth & Ross Sneak Preview
Ruth and Ross – Wedding Photography at St Mary’s Church in Yatton and Clevedon Hall
What a beautiful day to get married! Fantastic blue skies and a light breeze over Clevedon Hall made the perfect spring day for a wedding. I love Ruth and Ross’ choice of Navy and yellow colourscheme. A beautiful neutral choice of navy multiway dresses for Ruth’s bridesmaids and a fantastic pop of colour with gorgeous bright yellow posies created by Emma Petersson designer florist. Lovely to work with so many ladies at yesterday’s wedding. Great as always to work with Hazel from Hairoics and chauffeuse Katie from Cadbury Cars along with venue and catering managers Emily and Sola from Clevedon Hall. Here is a small sneak preview of just a few of Dr and Dr Runciman’s images from Saturday. Like the Interlace Photography Facebook Page to be updated when the rest of their images are online.

Woodlands Castle Wedding – Nat and Keith
Wedding Photography at Woodlands Castle Taunton – Nat and Keith
February 2015
I said I was going to blog far more this year but already I’m behind! Here is the wedding of Mr and Mrs Le Grange who celebrated their wedding at St Andrew’s Banwell and Wodlands Castle.
Firstly a round of applause goes to Mother of the Bride Julie, who has been supermum extraordinaire with regard to the help she offered Natalie for her Big Day. Julie’s list of talents goes on and on it seems. She created the bride and bridesmaids bouquets, choreographed the First Dance, co wrote a poem with Keith’s mum that they then read during the ceremony and made a tiny little waistcoat and bow tie for Roar (The pageboy’s stuffed tiger) That’s pretty impressive!
Nat and Keith booked me the moment they got engaged. Infact I’m pretty certain I was pencilled in before Keith even popped the question. I’ve known these lovely pair for a very long time, we have a nephew in common (Nat’s sister is married to my husband’s brother) but Nat also worked for me while she was at university studying photography, so I was thrilled when they fiiiinally got engaged and set a date.
Nat got ready at their home in West Wick with her bridesmaids and man of honour Joe. Nat had her gorgeous makeup done by Hazel from Hairoics who is a really popular choice for bridal hair and makeup.
The couple chose to make their vows in the beautiful Church of St Andrew’s in Banwell. One of my favourites to photograph in the area, it’s such a big warmly lit space it’s easy to capture some great images. I love it even more because of vicar Matthew (who is also at St Andrew’s in Congresbury) Matthew loves to make his services really personal to the couple and gives them gifts which is always a great photo opportunity. Nat and Keith also provided popcorn (for anyone who knows how long Matthew’s services can take, this is a brilliant idea!)
After the ceremony the newlyweds left the church under a paddle arch (they are both keen canoeists) and cloud of confetti. On arrival at Woodlands Castle in Taunton we created relaxed photos of them in the grounds and completed the family group photos out at the front of this idyllic little venue.
Natalie was overwhelmed by her beautiful cake that was made by Nicola from Sugar Paste Petals. She had given Nicola a rough idea of their theme and flavours then let her create something spectacular. A huge mountain of snowflakes topped with snowglobe and embedded with fairylights (carefully removed before serving!!)
Speeches involving silly hats and plenty of rabbit pictures and were followed by tasty hot buffet and an ice cream cart provided by Cafe Bon Bon for dessert.
The evening reception was started with some indoor games including giant jenga and hula hoops provided by Cafe Bon Bon and casino with fun money and prize of prosecco for the winner of the evening. As I left Nat, Keith and their guests were dancing the night away to Woodlands Castle resident Wedding DJ. A brilliant day alongside some great people.

Wedding at Cadbury House – Abby and Josh – Sneak Peak
Abby and Joshua – Wedding Photography at Cadbury House, Congresbury
Abby and Josh chose to have a mid afternoon ceremony on the Easter weekend at the popular Cadbury House Hotel in North Somerset. A great venue for couples with lots of guests who will be intending to spend the weekend, as there are hundreds of bedrooms, with great links to both the motorway and the airport. With families travelling from all over the country to celebrate with the new Mr and Mrs Preest it was the perfect place to tie the knot and the newlyweds were delighted with their choice. Abby looked gorgeous in a Mori Lee gown and the pale lemon colour scheme looked great on all her bridesmaids who also wore Mori Lee. Josh is a gunner in the Royal Air Force and looked great in his uniform (even if his shoes were a little bit like ice skates!) The couple chose to have a fantastic five course meal prior to their speeches and relaxed evening reception that included a beautiful fireworks display set off by the pond. Here is a small sneak preview of just a few of their images from Saturday. Like the Interlace Photography Facebook Page to be updated when the rest of their images are online.

Aldwick Court Farm Wedding – Adetoun and Paul – Sneak Preview
Adetoun and Paul – Wedding Photography at Aldwick Court Farm and Vineyard
Adetoun and Paul chose Aldwick Court Farm as the location for their relaxed country wedding. A beautiful vineyard tucked away in the North Somerset countryside. Adetoun had an elegant neutral palette for her colour scheme with gold candles and chair sashes, soft peach roses and tiny narcissus as a little nod to spring, in her bouquets. Her sister and bridesmaid Toke wore a mint green gown and carried a matching posy to Adetoun. Paul chose his 13 year old son Myles as bestman who looked very dapper in matching suit and tie to his dad, who just couldn’t stop smiling all afternoon. Eastwood Park Wedding- Collette and Richard – Sneak Preview
Collette and Richard were married on Saturday at the popular Eastwood Park in Gloucester. A beautiful spring themed wedding with soft coral and turquoise colour scheme for the ‘maids and the groomsmen (a modern take on pink for ther girls and blue for the boys) paired with fabulous bright spring bouquets by first choice florists (I adored these colours!!) singer and pianist Ian Towers entertained guests throughout the afternoon and fabulous fireworks by Firemagic kicked the evening entertainment. Such a lovely couple, here is a sneak peak at their gorgeous day. The rest of their images will be online once they return from their Canadian honeymoon. Clevedon Hall Wedding – Sneak Preview – Clare & Adam
One of my favourite venues to photograph in any season but it’s always a pleasure to spend an afternoon in the sunshine at Clevedon Hall on one of the loveliest days of the year so far. My first of a number of weddings there this year. Clare and Adam were married yesterday afternoon in the Great Hall which was followed by bubbles in the Dame Rosa Burden Room and reception entertainment by the Athene String Quartet and talented magician Darren Campbell. Here are a few sneak peak images from their beautiful spring wedding. Like the Interlace Photography Facebook page to keep updated for when their complete blog and gallery will be online.
Clifton Suspension Bridge – Pre wedding Portraits
My first pre-wedding shoot blog. I was very lazy with my posts last year so this year I intend to blog far more so everyone can see all of the lovely shoots I get to go on!
To say the morning of the 16th February was damp would be an understatement. On arrival at the Clifton suspension bridge in Bristol it was bucketing it down, so Collette and I liased and decided it would be best to grab a drink at the Avon Gorge Hotel while chatting through some ideas for her and Rich’s Big Day. Luckily after an hour the rain was easing off so we venutured out, with Collette and Rich sheltering under one of the many umbrellas I carry for such an event (the boot of my car generally looks like a jumble sale, with an array of handy photography items along with the obligatory buggy, spare coats and wet wipes that every mother has lurking in her car) Luckily after about 10 minutes it had stopped raining so we braved removing our coats for a variety of looks and to help Collette and Rich feel more comfortable. A really enjoyable morning with a lovely couple. Very much looking forward to their Big Day at Eastwood Park in Gloucester on the 21st March.
Nat & Keith – St Andrew’s Banwell & Woodlands Castle Sneak Preview
Here is the sneak preview of the fantastic winter wedding of Nat and Keith, that took place on Friday 20th February at St Andrew’s Church in Banwell, North Somerset and was followed by reception at Woodlands Castle in Taunton, Somerset. My first time at this pretty little venue, perfectly situated just off the M5. A brilliant day celebrating with two lovely families. Thank you for letting me be a part of your day Mr and Mrs Le Grange! Nat and Keith’s complete gallery will be online soon. Sam & Gary’s Wedding – St James’, Winscombe & Coombe Lodge
Sam and Gary are the Interlace Photography 2014 Couple of The Year and won a canvas of their favourite image after they received a whopping 521 votes from their family and friends. They had a great day back in December with an elegant winter themed wedding with midnight blue and silver colour scheme.
Sam and her 3 bridesmaids Tori, Liz and Jo got ready at Sam’s family home in Winscombe. Makeup was done by Sam’s beautician Sharon who did this as a special favour as it’s not something she normally promotes. Sam looked gorgeous with a natural look that perfectly suited her beautiful gown ‘Ofira’ by Pronovias that came from Rookery Manor Bridal in Somerset. Tracey Sweeting was working hard on hair on my arrival, with matching plaits leading into asymetric buns for Sam’s bridesmaids who wore midnight blue Coast gowns.Flowers by Winscombe based Eden Floristy were a lovely choice for a wintry wedding and arrived at the perfect time for me to get a snap of Sam receiving them.
I headed off to St James’ Church in Winscombe (My fourth there this year!) and met with the boys who were waiting patiently to start putting on their buttonholes. Gary looked great in a custom made suit that was ordered from a tailor on Park Street in Bristol and had made an interesting choice in lemon yellow socks to accompany his outfit. To make sure he didn’t look out of place he had made sure his groomsmen were all wearing the same very bright footwear!
I love a village wedding, lots of well wishers had gathered to catch a glimpse of the bride and her father arriving in a Beauford car provided by Spirit Wedding Cars. Those last few moments before a father gives away his little girl are lovely, and it’s great when there is a bit of a walk from the car to the church door. Lots of smiles as they greeted everyone who had come to see Sam into the church.
After the ceremony we captured the main bulk of the group photos outside the church before heading to Coombe Lodge at Blagdon for hot mulled cider. The perfect winter tipple for a wedding just a few days before Christmas. The new Mr and Mrs Booth mingled with their guests and we then went out to make the most of the rapidly fading light before the wedding breakfast.Speeches involving rather incriminating evidence of some very 90’s modelling shots that Gary had had taken for a portfolio had everyone in stitches and made for some great natural shots of lots of laughter.
After the formalities Sam headed upstairs with her ‘maids to have an outfit change and makeup reapplication by Sharon who had arrived for the evening so. Just a couple of weeks before the Big Day Sam had realised that her first dance was going to be quite awkward in her daytime dress so she popped back to Rookery Bridal and chose a evening gown style wedding dress by Maggie Sottero with jewelled straps and puddle train, a very practical choice so that she could party the night away to their band Sugar Coated Love Monkeys.
Bristol Photobooths provided additional evening entertainment with a selection of vintage props while guests could munch on pick and mix and apply temporary tattoos should they wish. Sam had considered everything, with inflatable instruments so guests could play along with the band and flat pumps for tired feet.
A great day was had by all, and I was delighted to surprise the newlyweds with their completed images on Christmas Day after I dropped in a surprise package to Sam’s parents on Christmas Eve.
St Andew’s Banwell, Batch Country House Wedding
It’s very hard to take a vicar wearing a paper Miss Millie’s hat seriously. But Matthew, the vicar at St Andrew’s Church in Banwell, seemed to pull it off! As the owner of Miss Millie’s in Weston-Super-Mare Kerrie was wearing some very subtle chicken socks on the day of his wedding and joined in with his groomsmen and wore the paper hats when requested during the service. I do love it when a vicar really gets to know the couple they are marrying. Matthew knew all about their love of the USA, careers and the things that mattered most to the newlyweds and presented personal gifts to them as the new Mr and Mrs Sleeman. St Andrew’s Church was the only choice for Claire when Kerrie popped the question. Both her grandparents and parents were married in the church and there was even a specific photo that the bride wanted recreating by one of the trees in the grounds. Wonderful to carry on the tradition and you never know, Kerrie may well be walking their daughter down the same aisle in years to come! After confetti and a couple of the more traditional groups at the church we all headed off the Batch Country House hotel. One of my current favourite venues, with stunning grounds and the feel of being in the middle of nowhere while in reality just a short drive from Weston. Claire and Kerrie had booked an ice-cream trike to greet the guests on arrival at Batch to keep them occupied while the happy couple had their wedding portraits taken. Kerrie and Claire had their pre-wedding shoot also at Batch so had plenty of ideas for where they most liked their photo to be taken. We then captured the group shots before receiving line in the Ivory Suite. A delicious 3 course wedding breakfast was followed by speeches introduced by toastmaster Dave. The evening was kicked off with first dance, sweet cart and photobooth to entertain the guests. This was one of my favourite weddings of the year so far and I loved being a part of it. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Sleeman!
